Awana is our weekly, Wednesday evening ministry for your children, teaching them the full gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Awana program coincides with the school year (August - May). We meet at The Ark, with opening games at 6:00pm, followed by Awana from 6:30 - 8:00pm.
Awana leads kids to know, love and serve Christ. Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. As a ministry leader for nearly 60 years, Awana is making an impact. A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni's spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!
Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and comes from the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15: "Be diligient to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
This ministry rewards your children for learning their Bible and completing character building activities. Younger children learn through games, crafts, and puppets - wonderful learning tools for their age. As they grow, the children are introduced to small group interaction, apologetics and life application of the gospel.
Below is a listing of the Awana Club for the various age groups and a description of the Awana approved curriculum that is used in that particular club. These clubs are run by individuals with a passion for sharing their faith with your children. Uniforms are available and the younger children wear vests on which they display their awards earned.
The Awana clubs offers fun, friendship and serious Christian teaching that supports the teaching your children are receiving at home. Living their faith can be difficult for children, especially as they grow. Awanan provides a safe, comfortable place to learn and grow along with peers who share their faith. Awana is an excellent choice for parents like you who would like their children to learn Chrisitian values while participating in a club.

Each section combines basic Scripture memory with parent-child activities to help a child grasp a simple biblical truth. Two extra-credit handbooks containing additional memory verses and character-building activities are also available. Before starting a handbook, newcomers to Cubbies are taken through an introductory brochure that gives parents and children a brief overview of the program and presents God’s plan of salvation at a preschooler’s level. |
